Swedish guitarist and composer Morgan Wärn’s harmonically rich, rhythmically fluid, and hauntingly lyrical style of playing makes him one of the most promising voices on the Swedish jazz scene. After receiving his bachelor’s degree from the Royal College of Music in Stockholm, Morgan moved to New York where he received his master’s of music degree from Manhattan School of Music while regularly performing at various New York jazz clubs. As a composer, Morgan writes harmonically rich music, often with simple melodies and a specific mood. Morgan is also a frequently hired guitarist on the Swedish pop scene, playing with artists such as Hannes, Waterbaby and Sabina Ddumba. He has also been teaching privately for the last decade, in person as well as online.

Morgan recently wrapped up the recording session of his upcoming debut album, consisting of all original music, featuring Mats Sandahl on bass and Jongkuk Kim on drums.
